Business challenges

  1. Local hotel chain Oxfordshire Hotels needed to expand their broad base of customers to improve occupancy levels, increase average room rates, spend per head on restaurant dining and improve special events revenue
  2. Web Services had been engaged to provide hardware support and website development for each of the existing hotels ensuring integrated room availability via the internet
  3. A new booking system allowing easy reservation of rooms linked to special packages and local events integrated with a customer emarketing database that was easy for both customers and staff to use was essential
  4. Improve search listing on search engines, eg Google

Our solution

  1. We worked closely with the Group General Manager, key staff and each hotel manager to develop the websites and bookings functionality
  2. The emarketing database system was a joint enterprise with the external marketing company (who has now also become a customer)
  3. It took only 20 man days to build a new ebooking system, special events and fully integrated hotels website with integrated database

Optimisation of Cotswold hotel on Google, achieved page one positioning.

The results

    • The increased volume of bookings, have been key achievements for the Hotel Group. They have reported a on line booking revenue of £26k in one year of use for one Hotel with the chain.
    • Reduced licensing and support  costs with sourcing of systems and hardware has provided a recduced expense for the Hotel Chain.
